Here we see how Jesus speaks the Word of God to bring healing to a man who had been blind from birth. The faith of Abraham is another example of how believing in the Lord can bring healing. In Genesis 12:1-4, we read how Abraham was promised by God that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Though he was already very old, Abraham believed in the Lord and was blessed with a healthy and fruitful life. His faith in the Word of God brought him healing in his old age.

In Isaiah 53:5, we read, “But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes, we are healed.” This passage is a reminder that when we trust in the Lord, He will heal us from the inside out.

The power of prayer is another way we can be healed through the Word of God. In James 5:13-16, we read, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” This passage reminds us that when we pray and have faith, the Lord will heal us.

The gift of healing is available to all who believe in the Lord. In Matthew 10:8, Jesus said, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” This passage reminds us that healing is a gift from God and that it is available to all who believe.
