Formal Translation The young men who had grown up with him spoke to him, saying, “Thus you shall say to this people who spoke to you, saying, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy, but you, lighten it from upon us.’ Thus you shall speak to them: ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s loins.’” |
10. Dynamic Translation The young men who were raised with him said, “Here is what you should tell these people who said to you, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy, but you must make it lighter for us.’ Say this to them: ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s waist.’” |
