Exegesis

The opening vata’as {וַתַּ֤עַשׂ | va-ṭa‘aṣ} ‘and she did’ introduces her initial response, followed by vatakam {וַתָּ֙קָם֙ | va-tā-kam} ‘and she arose’, vateilekh {וַתֵּ֣לֶךְ | va-tê-lekh} ‘and she went’, and vatavo {וַתָּבֹ֖א | va-tā-vo} ‘and she came’, creating rapid narrative momentum.
