Exegesis

Two coordinated imperatives ba-kha-rû {בַּחֲר֨וּ | ba-ḥa-rû} ‘choose’ and wa-ʿă-sū {וַעֲשׂ֣וּ | wa-ʿă-sū} ‘and do’ are modified by the adverb riš-šōnāh {רִאשֹׁנָ֔ה | riš-šōnāh} ‘first’.
