| 27. Formal Translation And it was at noon, and Elijah mocked them and said, “Call with a loud voice, for he is a god {Elohim, Object of Worship}. For he is meditating, or he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and will awaken.” |
| 27. Dynamic Translation At midday Elijah began to mock them, saying, “Shout louder! Surely he is a god {Elohim, Silent Sovereign}. Perhaps he is pondering, or is busy, or is traveling, or perhaps is napping and needs to be awakened.” |
