15. Formal Translation And he said, “You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me to reign; but the kingdom has turned and has become my brother’s, for it was his from the LORD {Yahweh, Throne Appointer}.” |
15. Dynamic Translation He said, “You know the kingdom belonged to me, and all Israel looked to me for the throne. But the situation shifted, and now it is my brother who has it, because it came to him from the LORD {Yahweh, Kingship Giver}.” |
