   and servants of the king of Aram said to him gods of mountains their gods therefore they were strong than us but let us fight with them in the plain surely we shall be strong than they

Exegesis

The negative conditional im-lo nekhazak mehem {אִם־לֹא נֶחֱזַק מֵהֶם | ʾim-lō neḥ-ḥa-zaq mē-hem} ‘if not, we will be stronger than they’ conveys assured victory contingent on venue.
