1 Kings 20:33:1וְהָאֲנָשִׁים֩vehaanashimand the men
1 Kings 20:33:2יְנַחֲשׁ֨וּyenakhashuwere divining or watching for an omen 1 Kings 20:33:3וַֽיְמַהֲר֜וּvayemaharuand they hurried 1 Kings 20:33:4וַיַּחְלְט֣וּvayakhletuand they seized or took it firmly 1 Kings 20:33:5הֲמִמֶּ֗נּוּhamimmenufrom him 1 Kings 20:33:6וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vayomeruand they said 1 Kings 20:33:7אָחִ֣יךָakhikhayour brother 1 Kings 20:33:8בֶן־הֲדַ֔דvenhadadBen-hadad 1 Kings 20:33:9וַיֹּ֖אמֶרvayomerand he said 1 Kings 20:33:10בֹּ֣אוּboucome 1 Kings 20:33:11קָחֻ֑הוּkakhuhutake him 1 Kings 20:33:12וַיֵּצֵ֤אvayetseand he went out 1 Kings 20:33:13אֵלָיו֙elavto him 1 Kings 20:33:14בֶּן־הֲדַ֔דbenhadadBen-hadad 1 Kings 20:33:15וֽ͏ַיַּעֲלֵ֖הוּvayaalehuand he brought him up 1 Kings 20:33:16עַל־הַמֶּרְכָּבָֽה׃alhamerkavaupon the chariot
33. Formal Translation
And the men divined his intent and hastened and seized upon it, saying, “Your brother, Ben-Hadad.” Then the king said, “Come and take him.” So Ben-Hadad came out to him, and he brought him up into the chariot.
33. Dynamic Translation
The men hurried to grasp his meaning and seized on his words, saying, “Your brother, Ben-Hadad!” The king then said, “Go and bring him here.” When Ben-Hadad came out, Ahab had him come up into the chariot.
