The participles sar {סַ֣ר | sā́r} “sullen” and vezaef {וְזָעֵ֗ף | və-zaʿēp̄} “angry” introduce his emotional state in the phrase al-haddavar {עַל־הַדָּבָר֙ | ʿal-haddāḇār} “over the word” that Naboth {נָבוֹת֙ | Nāḇōṯ} delivered with diber {דִּבֶּ֣ר | dibber} + elav {אֵלָ֗יו | ʾēlāyw} “he spoke to him.”
