| 4. Formal Translation And he said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to battle at Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, “As I am, so you are; as my people, so your people; as my horses, so your horses.” |
| 4. Dynamic Translation He asked Jehoshaphat, “Will you join me in fighting at Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “I am with you as you are. My people and my horses are as yours.” |
