| 6. Formal Translation And the king of Israel gathered about four hundred prophets and said to them, “Shall we go against Ramoth Gilead in battle, or shall we refrain?” And they replied, “Go up, for the Lord {Adonai, Sovereign Master} will give it into the hand of the king.” |
| 6. Dynamic Translation So the king of Israel summoned about four hundred prophets and asked, “Should we go up to fight at Ramoth Gilead, or not?” They replied, “Go, for the Lord {Adonai, Supreme Ruler} will deliver it into your hands, O king.” |
