18. Formal Translation For Christ {Christos, Anointed Redeemer} also suffered once for sins, the Righteous One on behalf of the unrighteous, so that He might bring you to God {Theos, Saving Reconciler}, having been put to death indeed in flesh but made alive in spirit. |
18. Dynamic Translation Christ {Christos, Suffering Substitute} also suffered once for sins, the truly just One for those guilty of wrong, so that He could bring you to God {Theos, Restoring Father}. He was put to death physically but made alive in spirit {Pneuma, Life-Giving Presence}. |
