7. Formal Translation But if the ministry that ends in death—letters engraved on stones—was presented in glory, so that the sons of Israel could not gaze at Moses’ face because of the brilliance of his countenance, a glory that was being brought to an end. |
7. Dynamic Translation If the ministry that brought death was inscribed in letters on stone and appeared in radiant glory, so that the Israelites could not keep looking at Moses’ face because that glory was fading. |
