1. Formal Translation
For we know that if our earthly dwelling—the tent—is taken down, we have from God {Theos, Giver of Eternal Dwelling} a building, a house not made with hands, enduring forever in the heavens.
1. Dynamic Translation
We are sure that if our present life, like an earthly tent, is brought to an end, God {Theos, Provider of Future Home} has provided us with a lasting structure—a home made without human hands, eternal in heaven.
