1. Formal Translation For we know that if our earthly dwelling—the tent—is taken down, we have from God {Theos, Giver of Eternal Dwelling} a building, a house not made with hands, enduring forever in the heavens. |
1. Dynamic Translation We are sure that if our present life, like an earthly tent, is brought to an end, God {Theos, Provider of Future Home} has provided us with a lasting structure—a home made without human hands, eternal in heaven. |
