8. Formal Translation The messenger came and reported, “They have brought the heads of the king’s sons.” Then he said, “Place them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until morning.” |
8. Dynamic Translation When the messenger arrived and reported, “The heads of the king’s sons are here.” He replied, “Gather them into two piles at the gate’s opening until morning.” |
