2 Kings 13:23:1וַיָּחָן֩vayaakhanwas gracious to
2 Kings 13:23:2יְהוָ֨הyahwehLORD 2 Kings 13:23:3אֹתָ֤םotamthem 2 Kings 13:23:4וַֽיְרַחֲמֵם֙vayerakhamemhad compassion on them 2 Kings 13:23:5וַיִּ֣פֶןvayifenturned toward 2 Kings 13:23:6אֲלֵיהֶ֔םaleihemto them 2 Kings 13:23:7לְמַ֣עַןlemaanfor the sake of 2 Kings 13:23:8בְּרִית֔וֹberitohis covenant 2 Kings 13:23:9אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֖םetavrahamwith Abraham 2 Kings 13:23:10יִצְחָ֣קyitskhakIsaac 2 Kings 13:23:11וְיַֽעֲקֹ֑בveyaakovand Jacob 2 Kings 13:23:12וְלֹ֤אveloand not 2 Kings 13:23:13אָבָה֙avabe willing to 2 Kings 13:23:14הַשְׁחִיתָ֔םhashekhitamdestroy them 2 Kings 13:23:15וְלֹֽא־הִשְׁלִיכָ֥םvelohishlikhamnor cast them 2 Kings 13:23:16מֵֽעַל־פָּנָ֖יוmealpanaivfrom before him 2 Kings 13:23:17עַד־עָֽתָּה׃פadatauntil now
23. Formal Translation
And the LORD {Yahweh, Gracious Covenant Keeper} was gracious to them, showed them compassion, and turned toward them for the sake of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was not willing to destroy them or to cast them from His presence up to this day.
23. Dynamic Translation
But the LORD {Yahweh, Merciful Protector} showed them favor and cared for them, turning toward them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He has refused to wipe them out or banish them from His presence even now.
