Exegesis

A second vayya‘al marks forward movement while vayyaṣar {וַיָּ֥צַר | way-ya-ṣar} ‘and he besieged’ with ʿāleyhā {עָלֶ֖יהָ | ʿā-le-hā} ‘upon it’ denotes the commencement of siege.
