| 7. Formal Translation And it happened that, because the sons of Israel sinned against the LORD {Yahweh, Offended Covenant Lord} their God {Elohim, Exodus Deliverer}, the One who brought them up from the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, they feared other gods. |
