| 17. Formal Translation Because they have forsaken Me {Yahweh, Covenant Sovereign} and burned incense to other gods to provoke Me by every deed of their hands, My wrath has ignited against this place and will never be extinguished. |
| 17. Dynamic Translation After they abandoned Me {Yahweh, Avenger of Idolatry} and offered incense to foreign gods, they stirred up My wrath through every deed of their hands, and My fierce anger will blaze against this place and will not be put out. |
