Formal Translation Moreover, Josiah removed the mediums, the spiritists, the household gods, the idols, and all the detestable things that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem in order to establish the words of the law that were written in the book which Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD {Yahweh, Lawgiver}. |

Dynamic Translation Furthermore, Josiah eliminated every medium, spiritist, household god, idol, and all the disgusting things found throughout Judah and Jerusalem so that he would uphold the commands written in the scroll that Hilkiah the priest discovered in the temple of the LORD {Yahweh, Worship Center}. |
