31. Formal Translation And Gehazi went on ahead of them and placed the staff upon the boy’s face, but there was no sound and no response. So he returned to meet him and told him, saying, “The boy has not awakened.” |
31. Dynamic Translation Gehazi went ahead and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound and the boy did not stir. So he returned to meet Elisha and said, “The boy has not woken up.” |
