5. Formal Translation And it happened, as one was felling the beam, that the iron fell into the water. And he cried out and said, “Alas, my lord—for it was borrowed.” |
5. Dynamic Translation As one man was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. He cried out, “Oh no, master! It was borrowed!” |
