2 Kings 6:5:1וַיְהִ֤יvayehiand it happened
2 Kings 6:5:2הָֽאֶחָד֙haekhadthe one 2 Kings 6:5:3מַפִּ֣ילmapilwas causing to fall, was felling 2 Kings 6:5:4הַקּוֹרָ֔הhakorathe beam, the log 2 Kings 6:5:5וְאֶת־הַבַּרְזֶ֖לveethabarzeland the iron 2 Kings 6:5:6נָפַ֣לnafalfell 2 Kings 6:5:7אֶל־הַמָּ֑יִםelhamayiminto the water 2 Kings 6:5:8וַיִּצְעַ֥קvayitsakand he cried out 2 Kings 6:5:9וַיֹּ֛אמֶרvayomerand he said 2 Kings 6:5:10אֲהָ֥הּahaalas! 2 Kings 6:5:11אֲדֹנִ֖יadonimy lord, my master 2 Kings 6:5:12וְה֥וּאvehuand it, and he 2 Kings 6:5:13שָׁאֽוּל׃shaulborrowed, requested
5. Formal Translation
And it happened, as one was felling the beam, that the iron fell into the water. And he cried out and said, “Alas, my lord—for it was borrowed.”
5. Dynamic Translation
As one man was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. He cried out, “Oh no, master! It was borrowed!”
