Exegesis

The relative pronoun ʾă-šer {אֲשֶׁר֙ | ʾă-šer} ‘which’ introduces a subordinate clause modifying the recurrence, while the causal clause kî-kā-vêḏ ʿā-lāw {כִּֽי־כָבֵד עָלָיו | kî-kā-vêḏ ʿā-lāw} ‘for it was heavy upon him’ explains the motivation.
