| 4. Formal Translation And the Gibeonites said to him, “We have no silver or gold with Saul or with his house, nor do we have any man to kill in Israel.” And he said, “Say what you require, and I will do it for you.” |
| 4. Dynamic Translation The Gibeonites answered him, “We do not claim silver or gold from Saul or his household, and we have no right to put anyone in Israel to death.” He replied, “Tell me what you are asking, and I will do it for you.” |
