Exegesis

The clause vayyippəlu šə-ḇaʿ-tām yāḥaḏ {וַיִּפְּלוּ שְׁבַעְתָּם יָחַד | va-yip-pə-lū šə-ḇaʿ-tām yā-ḥaḏ} ‘and the seven fell together’ uses an imperfect verb plus adverb to signal simultaneous action.
