Formal Translation So Gad came to David and reported to him, “Shall seven years of famine come upon you in your land, or three months of fleeing before your enemies as they pursue you, or three days of plague in your land? Now consider and see what answer I shall return to the one who sent me.” |
| 13. Dynamic Translation Gad went to David and said, “Would you prefer seven years of famine in your country, or three months of running away from your enemies while they chase you, or three days of disease in your land? Now think it over and decide what answer I should return to the sender.” |
