| 39. Formal Translation I did not bring to you an animal torn by beasts; I myself bore the loss. From my hand you sought it, whether it was stolen by day or stolen by night. |
| 39. Dynamic Translation I never brought you animals that were torn apart; I took the loss myself. If anything was stolen, you demanded it from me, whether during the day or at night. |
