| 4. Formal Translation Abel likewise brought an offering—some of the firstborn of his flock, even their fat portions—and the LORD {Yahweh, Offering Approver} looked with favor on Abel and on his offering. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation Abel also presented a gift from the firstborn animals of his flock, including the richest fat portions. The LORD {Yahweh, Gracious Accepter} was pleased with Abel and his gift. |
