He came also to Derbe and to Lystra, and look, a certain disciple was there named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but with a Greek father {Hellenos: Greek, non-Jew}.
1. Dynamic Translation
He traveled on to Derbe and then to Lystra, where he met a disciple named Timothy. Timothy’s mother was Jewish and a believer, and his father was Greek.
