Exegesis
The following imperfect clause le-elāhāḵ la-palchin {לֵאלָהָךְ֙ לָא פָלְחִין | leʾlāhāḵ lāʾ palḥīn} ‘to your god they do not serve’ conveys ongoing refusal.
Finally, the coordination u-le-ṣelem dahavā di-hakēmta la-sagdin {וּלְצֶלֶם דַּהֲבָ֛א דִּי־הֲקֵימְתָּ לָא סָגְדִין | û-ləṣelem dahăḇā dî hakēm'tā lāʾ sāḡdīn} ‘and to the golden image which you have set up they do not worship’ attaches a relative clause completing the legal declaration.
