The imperfect yə-taʿamunne(h) {יְטַ֣עֲמוּנֵּ֔הּ | yə-ṭa-ʿə-mūn-neh} ‘they fed him’ indicates ongoing provision, and the Ithpaal imperfect yiṣ-tab-baʿ {יִצְטַבַּ֑ע | yiṣ-ṭab-baʿ} ‘was drenched’ shows involuntary exposure.
