Formal Translation All the kingdom’s officials—the prefects, the administrators, the counselors, the governors, and the satraps—have taken counsel to establish a royal statute and enforce an interdict: anyone who petitions any god or any person for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. |
