Exegesis
The verse opens with edayin {אֱדַ֗יִן | ʾĕ-dayin} ‘then’, marking a temporal shift in Daniel’s vision.
The relative clause di-havat shanya {דִּֽי־הֲוָ֥ת שָֽׁנְיָ֖ה | dî-hāwāt šān-yāh} ‘which was different’ contrasts it with other beasts, reinforced by min-kallehon kallehein {מִן־כלהון כָּלְּהֵ֑ין | min-kallhon kallheīn} ‘from all of them, all the others’.
