| 2. Formal Translation If there is found among you in one of your gates which the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Covenant Lawgiver} gives to you, a man or a woman who does evil in the eyes of the LORD your God by transgressing His covenant. |
| 2. Dynamic Translation If a man or woman living in one of the towns that the LORD your God gives you is discovered doing what is wrong in the sight of the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Divine Judge} and breaking His covenant. |
