Deuteronomy 21:13:1וְהֵסִ֩ירָה֩vehesiraand she shall remove
Deuteronomy 21:13:2אֶת־שִׂמְלַ֨תetsimlatthe garment of Deuteronomy 21:13:3שִׁבְיָ֜הּshivyahher captivity Deuteronomy 21:13:4מֵעָלֶ֗יהָmealehafrom upon herself Deuteronomy 21:13:5וְיָֽשְׁבָה֙veyashvaand she shall dwell Deuteronomy 21:13:6בְּבֵיתֶ֔ךָbeveitekhain your house Deuteronomy 21:13:7וּבָ֥כְתָהuvakhtaand she shall weep Deuteronomy 21:13:8אֶת־אָבִ֥יהָetavihaher father Deuteronomy 21:13:9וְאֶת־אִמָּ֖הּveetimmahand her mother Deuteronomy 21:13:10יֶ֣רַחyerakha month Deuteronomy 21:13:11יָמִ֑יםyamimof days Deuteronomy 21:13:12וְאַ֨חַרveakharand after Deuteronomy 21:13:13כֵּ֜ןkenthat Deuteronomy 21:13:14תָּב֤וֹאtavoyou shall go in Deuteronomy 21:13:15אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙elehato her Deuteronomy 21:13:16וּבְעַלְתָּ֔הּuvealtahand be her husband Deuteronomy 21:13:17וְהָיְתָ֥הvehayetaand she shall be Deuteronomy 21:13:18לְךָ֖lekhafor you Deuteronomy 21:13:19לְאִשָּֽׁה׃leishhaas wife
13. Formal Translation
Then she shall take off the garment of her captivity and remain in your house; she shall weep for her father and her mother a full month. After that, you may go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be to you as a wife.
13. Dynamic Translation
She must take off her captive’s clothes and stay in your house. She will mourn her father and mother for a month, performing mourning. After that you may go in to her and be her husband, and she will be your wife.
