11. Formal Translation Then I reviewed all the works that my hands had done and the labor I had undertaken to perform—and behold, everything was vanity and striving after wind, and there was no profit under the sun. |
11. Dynamic Translation When I looked back on what my hands produced and the effort I poured into it, I found it all to be meaningless, like chasing after the wind; there was no lasting gain under the sun. |
