6. Formal Translation Do not let your mouth {pikha: speech, personal utterance} bring your body into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it was a mistake; why should God {haElohim, Moral Judge} be angry at your voice and ruin the work of your hands? |
6. Dynamic Translation Do not let what you say lead you into sin, and do not tell the messenger that it was a slip-up; why should God {haElohim, Ultimate Authority} respond in anger to your words and tear down what your hands have done? |
