12. Formal Translation No person can know his own time: like fish caught in a harmful net and birds taken in the snare, so the sons of man are caught in an evil season when it descends upon them suddenly. |
12. Dynamic Translation No one can predict when their moment will come: as fish are caught in a net and birds are trapped in a snare, so people are ensnared by a difficult time when it falls upon them without warning. |
