19. Formal Translation Therefore the rural Jews, dwelling in the unwalled towns, keep the fourteenth day of the month of Adar as a day of gladness and feasting and a festive day, and sending portions, each man to his neighbor. |
19. Dynamic Translation So the Jews living in country villages observe the fourteenth of Adar as a festive day of communal joy, feasting together and sending portions to one another. |
