16. Formal Translation We make it known to the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, then because of this you will have no portion in the lands beyond the River. |
16. Dynamic Translation We want the king to understand that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are restored, as a result you will end up with no claim in the Trans-Euphrates region. |
