3. Formal Translation At that time, Tattenai, the governor of Beyond the River, and Shethar-Bozenai and their companions came to them and said, “Who has given you authority to build this house and to complete it?” |
3. Dynamic Translation During that period, Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, along with Shethar-Bozenai and their companions, approached them and asked, “Who gave you the right to rebuild this temple and complete this project?” |
