11. Formal Translation And from me a decree is issued that whoever alters this edict shall have a beam removed from his house, and he shall be lifted up and impaled upon it; and his house shall be made a heap of refuse because of this. |
11. Dynamic Translation Furthermore, by my edict, if anyone tampers with this decree, a beam will be taken from that person’s house and they will be impaled upon it; and their house will be reduced to a dunghill as the penalty. |
