21. Formal Translation The sons of Israel who had returned from exile, together with everyone who had separated themselves from the impurity of the nations of the land so that they could seek the LORD {Yahweh, Holiness Upholder}, the God of Israel, ate the Passover. |
21. Dynamic Translation Those Israelites who returned from exile, along with anyone who had set themselves apart from the defilements of the surrounding nations in order to seek the LORD {Yahweh, Restoration Giver}, the God of Israel, ate the Passover meal together. |
