18. Formal Translation And they brought to us, by the good hand of our God {Eloheinu, Gracious Provider} upon us, a man of insight from the sons of Mahli, son of Levi, son of Israel—namely Sherebiah—with his sons and his brothers, eighteen in all. |
18. Dynamic Translation Because God’s {Eloheinu, Help Giver} good hand was on us, they brought us a discerning man from the family of Mahli, a descendant of Levi and Israel; that man was Sherebiah, and he came with his sons and his brothers—eighteen people in total. |
