2. Formal Translation For they have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and for their sons, and the holy seed has become mixed with the peoples of the lands. The officials and deputies were foremost in this unfaithfulness and served as the chief offenders. |
2. Dynamic Translation They married women from those peoples for themselves and for their sons, so the sacred lineage has been blended into the surrounding nations. Worse still, the leaders and deputies were the first to lead this betrayal. |
