| 23. Formal Translation That same day Abraham took Ishmael his son, along with everyone born in his house and everyone bought with his silver—every male in Abraham’s household—and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin, just as God {Elohim, Covenant Commander} had spoken to him. |

Dynamic Translation Abraham took his son Ishmael, together with everyone born in his household and everyone he had bought with his own money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that same day, exactly as God {Elohim, Covenant Speaker} had said to him. |
