| 10. Formal Translation But Jacob said, “Please, if I have found favor in your eyes, receive my gift from my hand; for I have looked upon your face as one looks upon the face of God {Elohim, Powerful Reconciler}, and you have accepted me.” |
| 10. Dynamic Translation But Jacob said, “No, please! If I have found your favor, accept my gift. Seeing your face is like seeing the face of God {Elohim, Awe-Inspiring Presence}, since you have welcomed me.” |
