| 5. Formal Translation And he lifted his eyes and saw the women and the children, and he said, “Who are these to you?” And he said, “The children whom God {Elohim, Gracious Giver} has graciously given to your servant.” |
| 5. Dynamic Translation Esau looked up and saw the women and children with Jacob, and asked, “Who are these with you?” Jacob replied, “They are the children God {Elohim, Source of Blessing} has kindly given to me, your servant.” |
