Isaiah 24:2:1וְהָיָ֤הvehayaand it shall be
Isaiah 24:2:2כָעָם֙khaamas the people Isaiah 24:2:3כַּכֹּהֵ֔ןkakohenas the priest Isaiah 24:2:4כַּעֶ֙בֶד֙kaevedas a slave or servant Isaiah 24:2:5כַּֽאדֹנָ֔יוkadonavas his master or lord Isaiah 24:2:6כַּשִּׁפְחָ֖הkashifkhaas a maidservant Isaiah 24:2:7כַּגְּבִרְתָּ֑הּkagevirtaas her mistress or lady Isaiah 24:2:8כַּקּוֹנֶה֙kakoneas the buyer Isaiah 24:2:9כַּמּוֹכֵ֔רkamokheras the seller Isaiah 24:2:10כַּמַּלְוֶה֙kamalveas the lender Isaiah 24:2:11כַּלֹּוֶ֔הkaloveas the borrower Isaiah 24:2:12כַּנֹּשֶׁ֕הkanosheas the creditor Isaiah 24:2:13כַּאֲשֶׁ֖רkaasheras {or according as} the one who Isaiah 24:2:14נֹשֶׁ֥אnoshelends or is creditor to Isaiah 24:2:15בֽוֹ׃voin him or to him
2. Formal Translation
No distinction will be made based on status: people and priests alike; servants and masters alike; maidservants and mistresses alike; buyers and sellers alike; lenders and borrowers alike; creditors and debtors alike.
2. Dynamic Translation
No class will be spared: priests will fare like other people, masters like servants, mistresses like maids, sellers like buyers, borrowers like lenders, and creditors like those who owe them.
