Two coordinated similes—kaʾēš {כָּאֵ֖שׁ | kā-ʾēš} ‘like fire’ and ûkəpaṭṭîš {וּכְפַטִּ֖ישׁ | û-kə-paṭ-ṭîš} ‘like a hammer’—are both governed by the Piel imperfect verb yep̄ōṣēṣ {יְפֹ֥צֵֽץ | yə-p̄ō-ṣēṣ} ‘breaks in pieces’ with the object sālāʿ {סָֽלַע | sā-laʿ}.
